The Collective is looking to welcome Women-Identifying New Voices for our 2026 season.

 

You do not have to have experience in playwriting to apply.

You must be 18+ to apply.

 

What do you receive if selected to join the 2026 Women's Playwright Collective?

• Create a 10-minute play about a topic that inspires you!

• Join a collaborative group that will give feedback and support to help your piece grow.

• Staging of your 10-minute play for two show days at the 9th Not Forgotten Play Festival.

• Work with various artists to bring your piece to life.

 

What am I committing to if I am selected to join the 2026 Women's Playwright Collective?​​

• Participate in once-a-month Zoom sessions with fellow collective members, and an in-person meeting at the end of the season.

• Comfortable with giving and receiving constructive feedback on creative work.

• Adhering to the timeline laid out by the Festival Director.

• Self-motivation to work on your piece.

• Be an active participant in our annual fundraiser: Play for the Plays

• Willingness to help with any needs the Festival Director may have when generating the success of the Festival. (This can look like helping to work the box office)

• Please send no more than five pages (will not read past 5 pages) of a writing sample (it does not have to be a play) to womensplaywrightcollective@gmail.com

• Interviews will follow in December
