2022
"RETURNING" was the theme for 2022 Not Forgotten Play Festival. Returning to self, the return to the inevitable, the return to the cosmos, and much more! In our partnership with Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre Company, WPC was able to take advantage of the new theatre space in the Empire Outlets to show off the work of the 2022 Collective Members.
Special musical performance by Laura and Melissa Casertano as they presented their original piece for the Festival. "Present" is a song that explores a return to the present moment when feeling overwhelmed by past memories and future concerns during a birthday wish.
Audience members also had a hand in shaping WPC's 2023 season by voting on the play they'd like to see staged in our new April slot. Courtney Emerson's play "Flexible Fate" won the audience vote, and Holly Pepe's play "Game Night" received the judges' vote. Both pieces will be expanded and presented in April 2023.
